As part of its institutional premises, Chivas' youth academy always works to produce home-grown talent and provide it to the Liga MX's squad. The records of the Apertura 2021 and Clausura 2022 show that El Rebaño Sagrado is really commited to do so: it's a fact that it gives the most opportunities to its home-grown players... by far!

Guadalajara has used the most home-grown players in Liga MX with 23, ahead of Pumas and Pachuca, who accumulate 20 and 16 respectively.

In fact, Chivas also leads Liga MX in home-grown players participation during the last 2 seasons, in which it has played 33 matches to date: 19,525 minutes have been played by footballers grown in La Cantera Rojiblanca.

It is worth remarking that there are 4,000 minutes between Chivas and the second place, Pachuca, whose home-grown ones register 15,410 minutes played.
