PRIMETIME Sports, Club Deportivo Guadalajara and Club America officially announced today that the highly anticipated Super Clasico is coming to Bobby Dodd Stadium in Atlanta on September 25 to celebrate Mexican Independence Month.
El Super Clasico pits the two greatest teams in Mexican history against each other and is considered one of the most prestigious sporting events on the continent. Primetime Sports promoted its first Super Clasico in 2018 in Los Angeles in front of more than 60,000 fans and in Chicago in 2019 to a sold-out Soldier Field. As live events began to return in 2021, Dallas witnessed this prestigious event with over 38,000 fans.
The Bobby Dodd Stadium opened in 1913 and is the oldest college football stadium inside a university. Most recently, this venue made history in 2017 by being the home of the Atlanta United soccer team for its first 9 sold-out games. This legendary stadium will once again make history by hosting its first international soccer match.
Several activities will take place leading up to the game, including the legends from both teams, official mascots, trophies, celebrities, live music, as well as a charity event, which details will be announced closer to game day.
Ticket presale for Georgia Tech students and Georgia Tech football season ticket holders, as well as fans who register at www.superclasicousa.com will begin on May 17. The ticket sale will start on May 19 and will be available at RamblinWreck.com/tickets and ticketon.com.
