Chivas' Sports Science Department reports on the condition of Jesus Angulo, who underwent surgery this Monday for the fracture he suffered during the WildCard match against Pumas.
"Canelo’s injury was a fracture in the fibula, just above the 'little ball' of the ankle which we call malleolus, the collision against the goalkeeper broke it”.
"The procedure he underwent was a plate osteosynthesis, which means that a plate is screwed in place to help connect the fragments stably with one another, that way it generates a better bone callus and the fracture can heal better".
"The medical prognosis for his recovery period is 12 weeks for him to return to competitive activity".
