Who missed Chivas' medical exams?

01/06/2022 11:00 / Salvador Pacheco

Day 1 of Chivas' preparations for the Apertura 2022 season. New vibes and new faces could be seen this Wednesday’s morning at Verde Valle for the medical exams and a gym session; there were also absences and the surprising presence of other players.

Divided into 4 groups, 22 red and white lads underwent Covid tests (antigens), laboratory analysis, nutrition evaluations and anthropometric measurements, dental, podiatry, ophthalmology and optometry assessments, psychological questionnaires IPED (Psychological Inventory of Sports Evaluation) and SCAT-5 test, as well as evaluations from the physiotherapy and rehab area.

The players who were not there were Alexis Vega, Fernando Beltran and Roberto Alvarado, who are on the National Team's USA Tour, which concludes on June the 14th after playing a CONCACAF Nations League match in Torreon against Jamaica, while Gilberto Sepulveda has special permission to deal with family matters.

On the other hand, and despite being in their respective recovery processes, Jesus Angulo, Sergio Flores and Jesus Molina underwent tests that don’t require anything out of their rehab routines. Another news was Gael Sandoval’s presence, who will try to earn a spot in Ricardo Cadena's squad during the Preseason.

El Chiverio’s schedule for this Thursday includes strength and effort tests at a clinic and then on Friday start working on the field, al this before traveling to Barra de Navidad to begin the most demanding phase of its preparation for the Apertura 2022 season.
