The 2022 Apertura season’s kickoff is just around the corner and, of course, everyone wants to play, and each of our red & white players has worked hard since the first day of the Preseason to earn a spot in Ricardo Cadena’s squad and help Chivas to win from the opening day against FC Juarez and on.
This Wednesday, El Rebaño Sagrado worked in the rain, which didn’t stop the team’s intense efforts to get into its best shape with for MatchDay 1, scheduled for this Saturday at 5 PM (CT) at the Akron Stadium.
With such a scenario, Paolo Yrizar held nothing back and sent a very clear message to both his teammates and the coaching staff....
The Queretaro-born striker looks really good on the field and today he did a great job on the one-on-one confrontation circuit and on the one for shooting inside the box in order to raise his hand high looking for a spot in the starting 11.

Such attitude in the daily work has been a constant for both Yrizar and the rest of the team, which has maintained a high level of competition for a place in the attack and also in the other two lines, all with the mind set to succeed in the first challenge of the AP22: Bravos.
The red & white fact…
- Jesus Molina continues to work separately, while Jesus Angulo did strengthening exercises on his ankle at the gym, as part of his rehab duties.
