After long weeks of waiting, Chivas returns with renewed enthusiasm to play in front of their fans on opening day at the Akron this Saturday, hosting the Bravos de Juárez as part of Day 1 of the 2022 Apertura, a match that might prove fundamental in completing the pre season objectives of the Rebaño Sagrado, whose goal is to is to focus on maintaining home field advantage and become unbeatable at home.
El Chiverío is coming off a 2-2 draw in a practice match against Necaxa at the Akron. For this match, Ricardo Cadena will not be able to count on José Juan Macías, Isaac Brizuela, Sergio Flores and Jesús Molina, who are out of action due to their respective injuries. The rest of the Guadalajara squad is eligible for the match against the Bravos.
Juárez, on the other hand, lost in its last pre season game 1-2 against Tigres in Monterrey. Hernán Cristante will have the entire border squad available for the match against the Rebaño Sagrado.
