The Sports Science Department of Club Guadalajara reports on the condition of José Juan Macías, who this Friday underwent surgery in a Guadalajara hospital for the injury he suffered in his right knee during a training session a few days ago.
"This morning we went into the operating room with José Juan and directly saw the anterior ligament was completely torn and we were also able to visualize a lateral meniscus injury, both of which were repaired."
"The procedure lasted about 1 hour, a cadaver graft was put in for the ligament and for the meniscus a menisectomy was done, a little piece of the meniscus is trimmed and taken out. As of today, the prognosis we have is between 7 and 9 months for JJ to be able to return to the pitch, always depending on his evolution".
