Everything you need to know ahead of Chivas vs UNAM

26/08/2022 19:33 / Javier Quezada

One match at a time. This is the motto Guadalajara has been working with over the last few days and it is the same one with which they will be looking to beat Pumas this Saturday at 9:05 pm at the Akron, Matchday 11 of the Apertura 2022, looking to secure their third win and move into contention for a ticket to the Final Phase of the Liga MX.

Both teams played their Week 16 match in the middle of the week; Chivas overcame Rayados by the minimum difference and climbed to 11th place on the table with 12 points, while the university team, which has been winless for seven matches, drew 1-1 with Tigres, a result that placed them in 15th place on the table with 9 points.

With the exception of 'Canelo' Angulo, who will be seeing action this weekend with the U-20 team as he continues on the path to regain his best soccer form, Ricardo Cadena will be able to count on his entire squad for this match. On the other hand, Andrés Lillini will not be able to count on Julio González or 'Toto' Salvio due to injury.
