Almost a year ago, El Guadalajara gave one of those exhibitions that make their fans proud, based on character, dedication and effectiveness, they pulled off an incredible comeback in their most recent visit to Ciudad Juárez. Don't you remember it? Don't worry, here are all the details of that match on Day 4 of the Clausura 2022.
The match started off uphill for Chivas, as it was only after 6' that they fell behind on the scoreboard after Fernando Arce headed home a cross to the far post. El Rebaño pushed forward and, in the last play of the first half, equalized with a shot by 'Charal' Cisneros that Alejandro Arribas deflected with his head so that the ball ended up in the back of the net.
However, the situation became more complicated at the start of the second half when 'Tiba' Sepúlveda was sent off for a double yellow card, forcing the team to play more compactly, but this did not mean that they would give up their attempt to win the match.
Thus, in the final stretch of the match, El Chiverío found their just reward for their poise and patience. At 82', 'Piojo' Alvarado intercepted a pass as Juárez's exited and projected Alexis Vega on the left, who advanced, cut back towards the center and placed the ball close to the right post, a superb goal.
But that was not all, as at 86' Alexis fought for a ball in the corner and won it, then entered the area and touched it to the far post for 'Canelo' Angulo to push the ball into the back of the net, ending the match in Guadalajara's favor.
