28/01/2023 23:08 / Fernando Giaccardi

Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua.- Guadalajara earned a valuable victory on the border after beating the Bravos 1-2 this Saturday night at the Estadio Olímpico Benito Juárez, which, for the moment, have climbed to fifth place with 7 points. Next week they will play host to Gallos Blancos.

Pauno's men were very effective in the first half and in the second half were able to control their opponent's efforts and not lose their advantage and to come out of the match with three points.

The goals...

22' After a clear handball by Maxi Olivera inside the area on a cross by 'Piojo' Alvarado, which had to be confirmed by the VAR, 'Pocho' Guzmán took charge of capitalizing on the penalty with a shot to the right of Talavera.

38' 'Nene' was set up inside the box on the right, it looked like he was being robbed of the ball, but he fought for it, won it, then took a shot that crashed against the crossbar and, on the rebound, 'Charal' was in charge of pushing it into the net.

59' Tomás Molina made it 1-2 after finishing a cross from the right that had been headed to the near post.

The other highlights...

1' From a corner kick on the left, Roberto Alvarado sent in a cross that Chiquete headed wide.

27' Carlos Salcedo caused a big scare inside the Red and White area with a header from a free kick on the left that hit the paint off the post.

31' Chiquete's poor touch towards goal allowed Gabriel Fernández to break away at full speed down the right, enter the box and shoot, but the Rebaño defender immediately redeemed himself by blocking the attempt.

48' Maxi Olivera tried his luck from distance, but to no avail.

57' El 'Wacho' made a great one-handed save on a violent shot by Olivera from a direct free kick near the right corner of the box.

79' Mauro Lainez broke down the left and sent in a cross that Lazcano headed wide.
