The oldest rivalry in Mexican soccer is between Chivas and Atlas, which over the years has permeated the Liga MX Femenil due to the vibrant episodes that the red-and-white and the red-and-black have given us, both in the regular season and in the Liguilla.
And with regard to the new edition of the Clasico Tapatio, which will be played this Sunday at the Estadio Akron as part of Day 8 of the Clausura 2023, we present a list of the players who have worn the jerseys of the two teams from Guadalajara, including many players who have been champions with the Rebaño Sagrado.
Samara Alcalá, who had already been with Chivas Gigantera before the creation of the League, was the first to wear both outfits, as she debuted with the city's neighbor in the pink circuit and later returned home to defend Las Chivas jersey, while the most recent to have done so was Selene Valera, who played with Chiverío in the CL18 and arrived for this tournament in the den.
But without a doubt, the two players who stand out on the list are Alicia Cervantes and Tania Morales. Licha' made her debut in the red and black jersey in AP17, but the team that made her vibrate and where she became the 'Depredadora del Gol' was Chivas, while 'CapiTania' made her debut and was champion with El Rebaño Sagrado in AP17 and after a brief spell with Cruz Azul returned to the Pearl of the West to wear the jersey of the fierce rival.
All the players who have played for Chivas and Atlas:
- Defenders: Samara Alcalá, Arlett Tovar and Selene Valera.
- Midfielders: Zellyka Arce, Tania Morales, Alexa Curiel*.
- Forwards: Alicia Cervantes, Adriana Iturbide, Norma Palafox
*(Alexa completed the entire training process in the #CanteraRojiblanca, but made her debut with Atlas.)
