Part of Club Deportivo Guadalajara's ongoing commitment, both on and off the field, is to promote values among all its members and thereby contribute to building a better society in every level. As part of this mission, this Wednesday a mixed match was held between El Rebaño Sagrado and Chivas Femenil at the Verde Valle facilities, an event that demonstrated the importance that equity has for the most popular and beloved club in Mexico, as well as promoting that everyone deserves the same opportunities in any field.
It is worth noting that this is the third time that the red and white institution has held the "Game X Equity". In the first half, the purple team took the lead with a goal by José González, who, after Pavel Pérez's speedy run down the right, sent in a low cross that 'Tepa' scored alone in front of goal.
In the second half, both teams changed their lineup and the green ones equalized through Luisa de Alba. The coaches of the two Chivas representatives took part in Game X Equity and were in charge of pushing their teams on the field; in fact, Pauno tried two shots from almost halfway that went very close to the goal, while 'Pato' was the orchestrator of his team from the back.
In addition to the players, the entire coaching staff was also present, as well as Sporting Directors Fernando Hierro and Nelly Simon. At the end of the match, everyone gathered in the center of the field to take a picture symbolizing one of the fundamental principles of Club Deportivo Guadalajara: Union, a message that just today on International Women's Day takes on a greater dimension to raise awareness in society in general about all that equity means and implies.
