This Saturday morning at the Akron Stadium, Amaury Vergara, president of Club Guadalajara, held a working meeting with Mikel Arriola, executive president of LIGA BBVA MX, in order to review the joint agenda for the Club Assembly in May and to close agreements in favor of the League.
As this was a multidisciplinary work session, Mikel Arriola was accompanied by Francisco Iturbide, General Director of Operations, Competition and Development of LIGA MX, and by Mariana Gutiérrez, Director of LIGA MX Femenil and Germán Elvira, Director of Digital Marketing and in charge of the Fan ID project.
On behalf of Chivas, Sports Directors Fernando Hierro and Nelly Simon were present, as well as Olimpia Cabral, Director of Commercial and Marketing, José María Aldrete, Director of Operations of the Akron Stadium and Edgar Martínez, Director of Communication and Contents of the club, who presented their project as an institution in the short, medium and long term, and gave a tour of the stadium facilities to LIGA MX officials.
Mikel Arriola, for his part, reviewed the joint agenda and the vision of LIGA MX in the areas of sports development, women's soccer, basic forces, security and marketing.
The president of the League emphasized the joint tournament with MLS, Leagues Cup, which will be played from July 21, and the importance of the implementation of FAN ID as a measure that will enhance the security of the great football fans in Mexico.
At the meeting, the directors of LIGA BBVA MX and Club Guadalajara reinforced their commitment in favor of our soccer, agreeing to work continuously and together to promote the multidisciplinary development of all our competitions and categories.
Amaury Vergara noted about the Liga's visit: "These are extremely valuable sessions to be able to match sporting and commercial interests of the clubs with the Liga, so that this is reflected in a better product for the fans. The commitment to strengthen our product in every way is a priority for Chivas".
Mikel Arriola said: "These working meetings are fundamental for LIGA MX, because they allow us to align criteria, review the joint agenda, define priorities and listen to the Clubs, learn about their vision and their upcoming projects. This morning, the meeting with Chivas has been very productive in those respects."
