What Nene, Checo and Ronaldo have to say at the Media Day prior to the Clásico Tapatío.

Everything is ready at Estadio Jalisco to host another edition of the Clasico Tapatio this Saturday night and to start warming up the engines, several players from Chivas and Atlas met this Thursday at the Coloso de la Calzada Independencia to participate in the traditional Media Day, prior to the duel that divides our city in sporting terms.

Sergio Flores, Ronaldo Cisneros and Fernando Beltrán attended for El Rebaño Sagrado, while Mauro Manotas, Martín Nervo and Luis Reyes attended for the Zorros.

What did the red and white players have to say to the media? We leave you with the most outstanding comment.

Fernando Beltrán:
"I have felt very good, stepping on areas I never used to step on and reaching places on the field where I never had never been, I think a lot of merit belongs to Profe 'Pauno' who has come here to exploit several qualities that maybe I had, but I hadn't realized."

"The most important thing is the team, in that sense I missed about 3 matchdays and the team responded, I like that whoever plays plays does well and I think we have to continue this consistently.”

"It is true that the rival has been Champion, but we have the responsibility to show that Chivas is much bigger, we have to win more Championships and put this club where it deserves."

"The evaluation must be good, we have had several absences during the tournament and we have managed to score many important points, then as a team we showed a good face in almost every game."

"The most important part is to finish within the top 4 places, the remaining points are vital starting with the Clásico Tapatío, we have to close in the best way, the fight is very close in the table and we cannot let points go either away or at home."

Sergio Flores:
"It's a more important match than usual, we come with the task of playing good soccer, to get a good result and continue our path towards the Liguilla."

"Atlas is on track, but we are thinking only of ourselves, we know that the opponent will want to play their best match to fix their tournament and we are preparing to play the best match possible."

"We have a clear objective for this tournament, I consider the last match to have been an accident and we are already focused on this Saturday's game, in which we will surely feel at home, here the fans make us feel like locals."

"They are motivated after playing a couple of good games, but we are working on playing our soccer and putting on a good show."

"You can't compare their championships with the history of Chivas, we know that on Saturday we will be local and we have to give our best to give our people a joy on Saturday."

"We have our objectives very clear, we want to grab a new positive streak at the close of the tournament and reach the Liguilla on track as we should."

Ronaldo Cisneros:
"The striker always has the pressure of scoring goals, but the truth is that the team has had a very good tournament so far, it is true that the last few games we did not get the desired results, but the team has always shown a good face."

"We have shown ourselves to be very solid in fixed tactics and in offensive performance. It is true that the issue of goals almost always falls on one player, but soccer is about 11 players and this team has had the capacity for anyone to score."

"The defeats against América and Puebla were hard blows because we wanted to stay within the top 4 places, fortunately we know that on Saturday we will have the opportunity to return to that place and every day we work thinking that we have to be there."

"When the referee blows the whistle everything evens out, both teams want to win, both have the support of their fans and I think it will be an even match."
