Querétaro - It was a very productive morning for Guadalajara's youth teams at the CEGAR, as both the U-23 and U-18 teams scored points against Gallos Blancos in their matches on matchday 15 of the Apertura 2023.
How did Chivas U18 do?
El Rebaño has had a spectacular rebound at the end of the calendar and after defeating Querétaro by 0-2, they earned 3 points of vital importance in their aspirations to qualify for the Liguilla, as they reached 29 points and are currently in sixth place overall, after having won 3 of their last 5 matches (they drew the other 2).
Chivas opened the scoreboard at 55' in a great collective play, when Raúl Nuño projected Juan Uribe from his own half, who reached the back line and sent a cross to the near post that Diego Latorre missed by inches, but the ball crossed the area and fell to José Elenes, who appeared at the far post to simply push it into the back of the net.
Elenes scored his brace and put the final numbers on the scoreboard at 88', with a cross-shot that beat the goalkeeper's effort and went into the left corner of the goal.

How did the U-23s fare?
El Rebaño Sagrado put in the soccer and fought hard in their attempt to get the full score, although they were not as sharp as in other matches and ended up not hurting themselves against Querétaro. With this result, the team from Guadalajara remains in second place with 28 points with the rest of the match still to be played.
Armando González had scored the winning goal at 36', but his goal was disallowed for offside. However, the 'Hormiga' still leads the individual scoring chart with 12 goals.
