The clashes between Chivas and Tigres have been characterized by a spectacle full of intensity and sacrifice. There have been several players who have experienced these duels from both perspectives, having defended the Red-and-White and Blue-and-White jerseys, so we will take a look at some of the most outstanding players.

-Claudio Suarez

The 'Emperor' arrived at the Perla Tapatía for the 1996 Invierno tournament and defended the Red and White jersey for 4 seasons. During his time with the Rebaño, Suárez was part of the 1997 Summer champion team, in addition to becoming a bastion of the Tapatía defense. In Winter 2000, Suárez joined the San Nicolás team, where he played in a final and won an Interliga.

-Ramón Ramírez

Guadalajara's left wing still remembers the electrifying runs of Ramón Ramírez, who became one of the club's idols due to his enormous performances since 1994. He was part of the winning team in the Summer of 1997 and left the club for the Summer of 1999; one tournament later, he wore the Universitario jersey. In 2002, Ramírez had his second spell with Chiverío, which lasted until the end of 2004.

-Omar Bravo

The top scorer in the history of the Rebaño Sagrado, the Los Mochis native made his debut as a red and white player precisely against Tigres, in the Summer of 2001. After winning the Apertura 2006 trophy with the Rebaño and becoming goal-scoring champion in the subsequent Clausura 2007, Omar emigrated to Spain in 2008. For the 2009 Clausura, he returned to Mexico with the Felino team. He later had his second stint as a red and white player between 2009 and 2010, and then another one between 2014 and 2014, where he was Guadalajara's top scorer with 160 official goals and won the MX Cup in the 2015 Clausura.

-Carlos Salcido

Born in Ocotlán, Salcido emerged as a canterano of Chiverío in the summer of 2001. He established himself as a constant in the 11 of Guadalajara and emigrated to Holland after the 2006 Clausura. After a successful stint in Europe, he returned to Liga MX as a player for Tigres, where he was League champion in the Apertura 2011 and in the Copa MX Clausura 2014. With a view to the 2014 Apertura, Carlos returned home to live his last stage with Chivas, which lasted until 2018. In that period, he led the team that won the 2017 Clausura and CONCACAF Champions League trophy, as well as the 2015 Clausura MX Cup.

-Alan Pulido

One of the architects of Guadalajara's 2017 Clausura championship. He emerged from the Tigres youth academy in the 2010 Bicentenario and remained in the Felino squad until the 2014 Clausura, as league champion in the 2011 Apertura and 2014 Clausura MX Cup. After a stint in the Greek league, Pulido donned the Chivas jersey in the 2016 Apertura. As a Rojiblanco, he also won the Copa MX in CL 2017.
