La Cantera Rojiblanca is going for another championship, ChivaHermanos! That's right, this morning the Guadalajara U16 team made it to the final of their category with a 1-3 victory over Necaxa at the club's home ground and will play against their biggest rival in the city for the title of the circuit.
The Rebaño's youngsters gave a great display at Necaxa's Club House, where they managed to take a significant lead into halftime. With 7' on the clock, Brandon Brocksom appeared to open the scoreboard, and later on, José Elenes added the second to the Tapatio tally at 23'.
In an attempt to get back into the game, the Rayos scored a goal through Edgar Moreno at 55', but in 3 minutes the Chiverío put the game in order with Yohan Orozco's definitive goal at 58'.
The U-16 League title series between Chivas and Atlas will be played next week with days and times to be defined, while the first leg will be played at the Akron Stadium and the second leg at the Jalisco Stadium.
