'Chiquete' competes in the category of best central defender, as he was a fundamental pillar of the Chivas backline, earning an immovable place in the starting 11, which eventually earned him a call-up to the Mexican National Team that is about to play in the Copa América in the United States. His season can be summed up in 34 games played, all from the start, with 81% pass efficiency.
Another player who really got people talking was 'Piojo', who is nominated for best offensive midfielder. He became the driving force in Guadalajara's attack in the 36 games he played, whether inside or out, the Salamanca native notably increased his goal scoring by scoring 11 and assisting 7 more, which helped the Rojiblancos reach two consecutive direct Liguillas.
