11/07/2024 12:09 / Club Deportivo Guadalajara

Club Guadalajara continues to build the Cantera Rojiblanca teams for the current Apertura 2024, a competition in which it seeks to be a contender from the start. For this reason, some adjustments have been made and new talents have been added to the different categories.

Who are the new U-23 players?
- Adrián Pelayo: He is a right-sided central defender of high technical quality, coming from North Carolina FC. He is 18 years old and was born in Marion, Oregon, however he is Mexican by birth because his mother is Mexican. Adrian was wanted by several Liga MX clubs and some other European clubs, but he chose to wear the colors of the Rebaño Sagrado starting this season. Pelayo played in the U-17 World Cup 2023 along with Fidel Barajas and Isaac Martínez.

- Mauricio Reyes: He is a 22-year-old left back born in Cuernavaca, Morelos. He had a stint with Cancún FC and began his soccer training in América.

- Carlos Zepeda: He was born in Sinaloa de Leyva, Sinaloa. He is 19 years old, is a forward and comes from Mazatlán FC.

- Javen Romero: He plays as a central defender, comes from LAFC and is 18 years old. His preferred leg is the left and he has been a Mexican youth national team player for several cycles. Like Pelayo, he was also part of the Tri that played in the U17 World Cup in 2023.

- Daniel Cervantes: He plays center forward, is 20 years old and is very powerful physically. His height favors him, as he is 1.84 meters tall. He was the sub leader of goals in the Under 23 category in the AP23, just behind Armando Gonzalez.
