What you should know before Chivas vs Xolos

The second week of activities in the Liga MX Apertura 2024 brings a very interesting match for Guadalajara, who will face Xolos de Tijuana at the Estadio Caliente.

Chivas reaffirmed the high points that made them a contending team last semester, while the Baja Californians begin a new project under the guidance of Juan Carlos Osorio. How do they look coming into the match?

-The Rebaño Sagrado earned a point in their first game of the semester, after a 0-0 draw with Toluca at the Fortaleza Rojiblanca in a match in which they deserved to win. With one point from one game played, Chivas is 11th in the league standings.
-On the other side, the Fronterizos visited the Estadio Corregidora, where they brought home three points against Querétaro. With this, the Caninos are currently in second place in the standings.

What happened the last time they faced each other?

-It was on Game Day 3 of the CL24, also at the Estadio Caliente, when they last met. On that cold night in Tijuana, the result was 1-1, with Roberto Alvarado scoring the Red and White goal.
