This morning, the Cantera Rojiblanca returned to action in Day 5 of the Apertura 2024, where both Guadalajara's U-23 and U-19 teams took on Tigres at the Zuazua facilities.
Here, we'll tell you how the Rebaño's representatives performed.
How did the Under-23s fare?
The Rebaño youth team showed how to fight for the result until the last minute, as they tied Tigres at 2-2 and won the extra point in a penalty shootout, thus earning a couple of points in their visit to Zuazua. Thanks to this, the red and white team reached 4 points in the Apertura 2024.
In the first half, the Universitarios took the lead at 7', but Juan Pablo Uribe put the score in order at 14' to tie the score.
Just at the dawn of the second half, the Regios took the lead again at 48'. José Meléndez's team pushed forward at all times in search of a goal and found their reward on the hour mark, thanks to a play that resulted in an own goal.
