Day 5 of the Apertura 2024 is history for Guadalajara and after the 1-1 draw against Tigres, Fernando Gago and the squad are already thinking about what's to come. For this reason, at the end of the match between the Rojiblancos and Felinos, the Rebaño's coach shared his general analysis of the match, in which he highlighted several footballing details and also pointed out the areas of opportunity they have as a team.
Here's what Fernando Gago had to say after the draw between Chivas and Tigres:
"I liked the first half, we played the match with pressure and in the zone where we wanted to play it. The first half in general was very good."
"We lacked the last pass, in the second half we improved it but we didn't have as much control of the game and we positioned ourselves further back because they put 4 or 5 players in a high zone and that forces us to defend lower."
"I don't like to consider the issue of injuries as a problem."
"The case of Javier Hernandez is special because we need him in training and in matches. He is a very important player for the rest of the team, that's why we will each do our part so that he recover his best form and can be available."
"Tala' brings a very good level, he earned his place and has a lot of confidence. The team in general terms is doing very well, we generated many chances but we lacked the finishing touch."
"The match was very disputed and our mentality is set on being a competitive team in every scenario we face, whether home or away".
"We want to grow as a team, we have good momentum and we will try to confirm it match by match".
