It was the 16th day of the Apertura 2009 and the Clásico Tapatío was being played at the Jalisco Stadium. Guadalajara faced Atlas in front of packed stands and with the red and white chants resounding in every corner of the stadium. It took just 14 seconds for the Chiverío to open the scoring through Omar Bravo, who scored the fastest goal in the history of our club.
At 2', the Rojiblancos made their hierarchy count and with a headed goal by 'Chicharito' Hernández extended their lead. Aaron Galindo made it 3-1 at 24', with a powerful right-footed shot after an indirect free kick from inside the area. The fourth goal came in the 41st minute through Hernández, who scored a brace that night and finished off the match thanks to an extraordinary cross to the far post sent by Ramón Morales, which he sent into the net with a left-footed shot.
Almost 15 years later, the Rebaño Sagrado repeated the feat of scoring 4 goals in a first half, as last Saturday we were able to enjoy another great performance by Guadalajara.

- The last time Guadalajara scored 5 goals in a match was in the 2018 CONCACAF Champions Cup against Cibao, in the Round of 16 second leg at the Akron Stadium. In the end, Chivas would go on to win the title in that continental competition.
