How did the U-23 team do?
Guadalajara's youngsters got their first win of the AP24 this morning, with a solid 2-1 victory over León at Verde Valle's pitch 2. The team from Jalisco reached 7 points in the standings, where they occupy 15th place.
Our Red-and-White team took the lead at the start of the match, when Juan Pablo Uribe broke down the right and served the penalty spot to Daniel Cervantes, who simply sent it into the net at 4'. However, the visitors leveled the score from the penalty spot, thanks to Jonathan Reyes' spot kick at 21'.
In the second half, the formula was repeated: from Uribe to Cervantes, bye-bye to the goalkeeper and to the spot kick at 69' to reinstate the Tapatíos advantage. A little later, the game settled down for the young Rebaño, as the Esmeraldas were down to nine men in a matter of two minutes, at 75' and 76', which helped José Meléndez's team to bring the match to a successful conclusion.

How did Chivas U19 do?
The team coached by Sergio Pinto lost 0-1 against the Panzas Verdes, which keeps them in fourth place overall with 15 points.
Chivas didn't have it easy, as they came up against a León team that put up a good defensive unit and also knew how to put them in trouble on the counterattack. It is nothing new for the Rebaño to look for the lead, but on this occasion they were unable to capitalize on the chances they had.
The only goal of the match came at 58' through Ariel Enríquez, who struck a long-range right-footed shot that beat the local goalkeeper.
