Guadalajara complied with an important Liga MX rule.

19/09/2024 19:09 / Enrique Noriega

With or without the underage players rule, Guadalajara is accustomed to using young talent in its lineups and, evidently, the match against León on Matchday 8 was no exception. In the match against the Panzas Verdes, Chivas officially fulfilled the quota of minutes for youth players during the Apertura 2024.

The rule is simple: each team must comply with 1,000 minutes for players under 23 years of age. But that's not all, as only 225 minutes can be added per matchday, thus ensuring that youth players are used in as many matches as possible.

Well, Guadalajara quickly complied with this rule, as it is undeniable the confidence that exists in the Rebaño for the talent that exists in the Cantera Rojiblanca. With or without this rule, it is well known that youth players will have opportunities to earn a place in the First Team.

Chivas started the match against León with 46.2 minutes to play, which they could easily record with the presence of Gilberto Chiquete, José Castillo and Armando González in the starting 11. After reaching this number, the Rebaño joined Pachuca, Santos and Necaxa as the only teams that already have 1,000 minutes underage playing time.
