Chivas played El Clasico de Mexico in Houston

Chivas continued their preparation for the final stretch of the Liga MX with El Clasico de Mexico in Houston, Texas, where they lost 2-0 to America at NRG Stadium.

This match served to give minutes to the Red-and-White squad, thinking about the resumption of the Apertura 2024, in which Guadalajara will seek to secure its place in the Liguilla of the championship.

The Rojiblancos will resume their activity on Saturday, October 19, when they visit Pachuca at Hidalgo Stadium for Day 12 of the AP24.

The goals
-América was the first to score at 19', with a left-footed shot by Rodrigo Aguirre that beat Oscar Whalley.
-The Capital side extended their lead at 45+1' with a header from Illian Hernández inside the box.

Highlights
-At 15', a double header inside the box for the Rebaño sowed danger in the capital area, first from Briseño and then for Marín, which passed very close to the opponent's goal.
-At 17', Omar Govea took advantage of a bouncing ball and volleyed a shot, but it went just wide of the goal.
