A new Clasico Tapatio, the longest-running rivalry in Mexican soccer that paralyzes the entire Pearl of the West, is getting closer and closer. The Apertura 2024 Play In will bring Chivas and Atlas together in the Final Phase for the seventh time in the history of short tournaments, and it is no news that these are duels that provide us with a great deal of excitement.
This will be the first time that the Rojiblancos and the Zorros will be playing each other in a single match in the Final Phase, which will turn into a night to kill or die for both, but with an important incentive: Guadalajara has dominated its fierce rival from the city in the Final Phase. That's right, Chivahermanos, out of the 6 previous occasions in which the Clasico Tapatio was played, the Rebaño Sagrado advanced in 4 of them.
Special mention to the Clausura 2017 series, since, as you may remember, the most popular and beloved team in our country defeated their city's neighbor and from there, they headed to the Grand Final and lifted the 12th title in their history.
