The rivalry between Chivas and Tigres has grown exponentially in recent years, as they have had episodes of great importance, such as the Clausura 2017 Final and the Clausura 2023 Final. Recently, Guadalajara made official the return of Alan Pulido, one of the main protagonists of these clashes.
Pulido was trained in the university team's youth academy and after a spell in Greek soccer, he arrived at Chivas, where he established himself as one of the most dangerous and effective strikers in our football. In fact, in that first stage as a Rojiblanco, 'Puligol' made a difference in the Grand Final of the 2017 Clausura.
As was the case for a large part of that competition, Alan arrived at the match against the felines as the undisputed starter, thanks to his tireless work on the field, in which he was a constant support to the midfielders and a permanent threat in the box.
In the first episode, he was in charge of opening the account, after taking advantage of a loose ball inside the area that he sent to the back of the goal with his left foot. Subsequently, he set up the play for the second goal, carrying the ball and taking a shot that Nahuel Guzmán spat out, but which, on the rebound, Rodolfo Pizarro crystallized.
In the final match, Pulido surprised everyone with only a few minutes left on the clock and made the Akron Stadium explode, as he scored a volleyed goal after an extraordinary diagonal pass from Oswaldo Alanís from his own half. That's right, Chivahermanos, Guadalajara's 9th scored 2 goals in that Final, which were key for Chivas to be crowned with a 4-3 aggregate score.
